Digital Super Highway Network
Connecting Peninsular Malaysia with High-Speed Fibre Infrastructure
Seamless, Reliable Connectivity
The Digital Super Highway Network is a groundbreaking initiative designed to fiberize Peninsular Malaysia, enabling seamless high-speed connectivity across major cities, data centers, and border connections. By leveraging Malaysia’s extensive highway system, this project ensures a secure, low-latency, and highly reliable network for businesses, government entities, telecom providers, and investors.
Strategic Development
Seamless, Reliable Connectivity
Since 2012, MSAR operates fibre optic networks along major highways:

2012
Fibre infrastructure at Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Bridge.

2016
Expanded to 29 major highways across Peninsular Malaysia.
Why Highways?
Utilizing highways as the foundation for fibre infrastructure provides several advantages:
Three Phases of Digital Super Highway Network Expansion
North-South Connectivity
- Extends from Johor Bahru to Bukit Kayu Hitam, covering key data center hubs.
- Network integrated through 88 toll plazas and 4,400 access points along five major highways.
PHASE 1
Klang Valley Metro Fibre Network
- Designed to enhance mobile network connectivity in Klang Valley.
- Supports 5G rollouts and expanding metropolitan broadband needs.
PHASE 2
Connectivity to the East
- Provides direct links to Cable Landing Stations (CLS) in Johor and Pahang, supporting international data traffic.
PHASE 3
Malaysia
Singapore
Regional Connectivity & Strategic Benefits
Johor Loop Project
Built to support the rapid expansion of hyperscale data centers in Johor, the Johor Loop ensures dual-protected fibre connectivity to Singapore with the lowest latency.
Southern Region
Central Region
Northern Region
Built to support the rapid expansion of hyperscale data centers in Johor, the Johor Loop ensures dual-protected fibre connectivity to Singapore with the lowest latency.
Southern Region
- Links Johor Loop with Central Region Networks.
- Strengthens cross-border data transfer capabilities.
Central Region
- Provides robust connectivity to Klang Valley data centers.
- Supports the rollout of 5G services across the metro highway network.
Northern Region
- Serves as the gateway to Indochina, interconnecting with major Thai telecom operators.
- Establishes an express link to Singapore, improving international bandwidth capacity.
